Description
This character is my entry for BZLGink's BTO competition! This all I could come up with in my sickly brain addled state.
Full Name: Johann Falstaff
Nickname: The Clockmaker's son
Gender: male
Species: Undead (formally human)
Age: 27 at time of death
Personality: soft spoken but articulate, kind, clumsy, intelligent, hungry
Likes: laughter, peace, gadgets, toys, clocks
Dislikes: war, the old gods, insanity, violence
Skills: Falstaff refrains from fighting close combat, often choosing to ambush or trick his enemies. A master of stealth and hunting, Falstaff often chooses his fights carefully and picks places where he has the advantage (namely old ruins or decrepit cities. He's also a great craftsman and likes placing booby traps strategically around him. Because he is an undead vessel to the goddess Brimfayn, his mouth and cloak have become portals to the mad goddess's realm, where she devours all who enter. His deathness also means he can't feel pain and can reattach appendages that may have fallen off.
Weapons: Bolt action army rifle (enhanced by Brimfayn's magic), landmines (lots and lots of landmines), prosthetic arm and leg guns, portal cloak, grappling hook, booby traps
Theme song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_6FmbjvMFI
Bio: Poor Falstaff, the kind clockmaker's son, had the worst of luck. When the great war broke out in his country, he was the only one in his village to be drafted. Before he left, his worried father gave him the family's prized heirloom, a neckless dating back to the ancient dark times of the old gods, as a gift of protection.
Poor Falstaff, died slowly on the hellish battlefield, taking days to finally succumb to his gastly wounds. His horrific suffering empowered his family's ancient necklace, summoning the long forgotten mad goddess Brimfayn. Elated with her return to the world that banished her so long ago, she quickly made the broken body of Falstaff into her herald and portal to this world, forcing the clockmaker's son to do her bidding. Brimfayn's orders were quite simple, "bring me food!" The undead vessel was more than willing to aid the goddess, blind in his rage and agony for being forced into this horrid war. And so the newly undead falstaff scoured the battlefields of the planet for years, bringing his master meals of soldiers on both sides.
It was only when the god Atlas made his offer that the soldier snapped out of his enthrallment, and changed his pursuits to immortality and the chance to end all war once and for all. But Brimfayn won't simply let go of her herald. She clings at Falstaff, making him hungry, craving the food that will feed his master.
